Other Resources for Partners
Is your partner cheating on you? Do you suspect chronic infidelity has ravaged your relationship? If you fear you’re losing your partner to sex addiction, porn addiction, strip clubs, webcam sex, escort services, fetish sites, massage parlors, hookup apps or married cheater sites, then we know how devastated you probably are. Or maybe he’s in recovery and you’re tired of being called a codependent instead of the betrayal trauma survivor you are. Welcome – here you’ll find the support you need.
This workshop was developed in collaboration with Claudia Black, Ph.D., Senior Fellow, and author of Deceived: Facing Sexual Betrayal, Lies, and Secrets and Intimate Treason. Working from a clinical model based on addiction and trauma, partners impacted by the destruction of sexual compulsion have the opportunity to begin healing from intimate betrayal. Participants learn about the biology and the behavior of sex and love addiction, and explore their own relational templates.
This is an experientially based workshops that assists partners in moving through their grief and loss, breaking free from the attachment to fantasy, and enhancing emotional self-regulation. Developing internal, external, and sexual boundaries, participants learn how to move from a position of victimization to personal empowerment. This workshop creates a safe and compassionate environment, that provides a path to healing that gives voice to the partners’ truth as they travel on their own journey in recovery.
Moving Beyond Betrayal: Partner’s Boundaries Online Course is specifically designed to identify, create, and maintain effective boundaries as an essential tool for surviving and healing from intimate partner betrayal. Facilitated by Vicki Tidwell Palmer, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner.
“Having worked with betrayed partners for 10 years, I know that with information, guidance, and a community of support, partners can survive — and even thrive — after the devastating discovery of sex addiction or long-term, chronic betrayal.
Your emotional well-being requires that you educate yourself — and develop new skills for self-care and self-protection — as you confront the difficult and painful process of discovery, disclosure, and beyond. In other words – you need boundaries.”
Center For Healthy Sex is a certified team of dedicated professionals specializing in sex addiction treatment and sex therapy. Our sex therapists have over 14 years of experience treating issues such as sexual dysfunction, porn addiction, love addiction, and sex addiction in Los Angeles. We provide both individual and couple therapy. We have helped people from all walks of life: young and old, men and women, and people from various backgrounds. We respect all races, religions, sexual preferences and orientations.
Partners of sex addicts, spouses of sex addicts, or any significant other who is close with the patient will also need support when they discover the secret life of their mate. The pain of broken trust is massive. The partner or spouse in relationship to a sex addict is exposed to sexually transmitted diseases, financial ruin and social embarrassment. Support is needed to make sense of the crazy-making reality of being repeatedly lied to about the foundation of a relationship.
The Sisterhood Support Group is an online, available 24/7 support group for women only. The doors are always open in the ‘hood’ and the light is always on. Someone is almost always there to welcome you. It is quite rare to sign in and not see anyone else online. But, if no one is online you have dozens of forums, thousands of topics and over a hundred thousand comments to browse through.
Questions are answered quickly and support is what we offer no matter where you are in your journey or what decisions you make or how many times you change your mind. We are always there for you, sharing your pain, holding you up when you feel as if you can’t go on and lighting your way when all you can see is darkness.
The Sisterhood will give you the support and resources you need to regain your stability and start on your path toward healing. The Sisters are always there for you, standing beside you, helping you to find your way.
The Sisterhood is not a 12 step group, The Sisterhood will not ever imply that you are a co addict or that you are co dependent. The Sisterhood believes in empowering you rather than telling you that you are powerless. The Sisterhood is a unique sort of group that does nothing more than support you with compassion, understanding and friendship.
Together we laugh, cry, share and support each other. We are best friends. If possible we visit each other, call each other on the phone when we are in need and share our joys and laughter as well as our pain. You will find all sorts of discussions going on in the Sisterhood. We talk about everything, Sex Addiction, Personality Disorders, recovery, staying, leaving, divorce, children, jobs, stress, PTSD, health…you name it we’ve probably discussed it and will discuss it again. Asking questions in the forum is a great way to get input from the Sisters, or you can just remain in the background and read through the thousands of topics and see what has been said in the past.
